Hearthstone was shallow to begin with, Gwent at least has some semblance of depth, I don't see it turning to shit very soon since it's not run by Blizzard

Does Gwent give the non-active player things to do? Or for 90% of decks is your opponents turn just a chance to adjust your seating position and maybe run to the fridge for some water until they're done?

It's cool if they find a proper balance. At this point it seems to oscillate patch per patch that one faction completely dominates the others.

It's already turned to shit. They can't balance properly and have no fun allowed cards like villentretenmerth. Also i'm burned out on it.

What do you like about it ?

I tried it and it seemed pretty bland. The core mechanic is who can math harder. You can only math as hard as your cards allow you thought.

Pretty sweet game with a Witcher flavour. Simple to understand, yet pretty complex once you get into it. Should be great when it releases, unless the devs fuck up majorly, which I don't see em doing.

At least it's not as jewish as HS as you can get yourself a competitive netdeck within a month, but it gets dull real quick. Having a deck with 8-10 different cards types and no turn start draw is boring af.

It will be even worse. No design space or mechanics to explore. Hearthstone died after several expansions, Gwent will die this year.

Gwent cards are absolutely fucking boring.
They all fit into prebuilt archetypes, there is no place for experimentation and fun whatsoever, get that deck Lifecuck showed on stream and start grinding the ranked.
