I have a PS4/Vita/PC. I had a 3DS for a period of time but I sold it later.

I buy nintendo consoles to have fun with friends with party games.

Smash bros sucked
Mario party sucked
None of likes Mario Kart after Double Dash since it feels so bland now
Dong Kong Freeze was ok
Splatoon was meh
and then the console just fucking got killed off.

Switch is 9th gen.

The other two are just different SKUs of 8th gen consoles. There are rumors that Sony is going to announce the PS5 within the next year. I don't think Microsoft really cares anymore. If they can keep games on DirextX and off Linux, then that's victory enough for them.

Xbox One X is just a hardware revision of the Xbox One. It's not getting its own games or anything. It is still 8th generation.

It's not and I can easily prove you wrong.
WiiU wasn't 8th gen btw, it was still 7th gen. I could be less mean and say "7.5" gen, but it definitely didn't belong in 8th. Switch does, though.

9th gen isn't a thing and won't be a thing before at minimum 2020
