Your MP no longer drains with darkside, it just stops regenerating. On top of that you get back more MP from Blood Weapon/Syphon Strike.

The tradeoff is that you get fucking nothing from blood price now. it takes 80 hits to refill your MP bar.

I thought I would be safe outside of Stormblood content, but I guess not.

I feel like playing SAM in pvp is spoiling me because how it makes all three combos macro'd into three buttons only.

PLD has too many buttons. Their goal was to reduce button bloat but PLD got to keep literally all their skills. The changes to cross-class didn't help because the only useful cross-class skills for PLD were Mercy Stroke, Bloodbath and Foresight, which every tank lost, including WAR. PLD is the only one that can take back ALL of the skills they lost, plus at least one good new one like Reprisal. Then they have 5 new skills on top of that.

Shit just needs to be cut down. Even if they improve their other skills to compensate, they just have way too many cooldowns. Remove Bulwark and Divine Veil.

I've been addicted to this game for such a long time but the shittiness of today has really just opened my eyes. Everything about this expansion has been underwhelming as fuck, sure there may be more past Raubahn and Pippin, but of the shit I've already seen has been boring. Music is good, but the zones are dull, new classes are okay but the fact that it's another 2 DPS is just garbage, along with the butchering of so many classes, though I guess I can't complain I play DRG. The class bars are fucking dumb, I wish you could go back to how it was before, it just takes up space needlessly to give me information I could already keep track of easily. True certain classes definitely benefit from the class gauges, I just moreso wish I had the option to revert it as a DRG. And yeah I don't think there's really been any zones in FFXIV that have blown me away, but I liked the feeling of HW zones, they all were fairly different from one another except for Coerthas. I think its just the fact that I'm so limited at the moment because of the MSQ lock that I've only seen Fringes and Peaks, and they both look very similar and have almost the exact same vibe to a certain extent. The music is nice though.

What I don't get about FFXIV is the storyline quest mechanic.

Most of the quests are the most dull, souless shit imaginable that requires you to simply speak to one person, travel slowly across the world to another dude and speak to him, only to return.

But you're REQUIRED to do all of it to even see the endgame or expac content. So there isn't any fun or options to be had while levelling or levelling an alt, you just snooze through the MSQs.

Thats why I dropped this shit like a brick, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Its weeb trash, but it would probably have more users if it wasn't so painfully inaccessable to new players.
