I still play it with some friends but I usually just avoid vanilla because Mojang has no idea how to competently make a game.

Sometimes I play this with my cousin when she's bored. Otherwise, I'm too busy with other games.

It still doesn't have decent alternatives, sadly.
It has great potential as a learning environment for kids.
It oozes missed potential - so much could have been added. I stopped following it 2-3 years ago when all we got were some coloured blocks twice a year.
It can still be fun in small doses with or without mods.

Are they ever gonna add more tiers of crafting/mining? Why not add more minerals? I'm tired of getting diamond and then quit the game because there's literally no point in playing anymore since you got the best material, it is so easily obtained as well which makes it even more boring.

You think hunger is bad? Try the combat update. HOOOLY SHIT they tried turning Minecraft combat into a stamina based fighting system, but kept the same amount of enemy mobs attacking you. It makes combat needlessly complex in a game that never needed it.

my friends and I revisited it and it was shit

I dont like minecraft because you get iron armor, and you are nearly invincible.
Theres more shit to do if you find diamond, but its a grind and modifying the spawns feels like cheating.

People here liked Minecraft during alpha.

When Notch stopped working and the game went mainstream, people hated the game.

I started playing when they had a free weekend or something, I can't really remember when that was but there were youtubers covering it, could anybody help me out here?
I loved the game though, especially in faction servers but only when playing with friends.
