Played the demo yesterday and I was pretty hooked. It looks cool with the 3D effect too. Ground speed can be a bit slow though, with and without holding the weapon.

I don't fucking know man. The artstyle is a turn off and the battle system seems simplistic as all fuck, and the mastubatory shit surrounding it doesn't do anything for me. It does remind me of Dark Cloud which is one of my favorite PS2 games, and the director has some major RPG cred. Maybe I'll pirate it and see how the rest of the game is, since the demo still didn't convince me.

The intro kind of suffers from being a bit slow and quick to have mood changes so the narrative flow feels a bit awkward, but I like the setting enough. It's very obvious that not a lot of attention was put into the story and cutscenes but most of it was poured into the mechanics and different things you can do in the game. The playthrough of GameXplain and the Treehouse segment yesterday shows a lot of interesting gameplay mechanics.

I like the artstyle and surrounding while the battle system is pretty meh I agree, though from the Treehouse segment I think there are different outfits and battle gears that you can equip. The puzzles are decent enough though. It's more of a town simulator I feel. Seems cute and comfy to me.

There are outfits, but they don't affect your stats. You can get new weapons and defensive bracelets, but you can only change the equipment and outfits of Seedling residents. So Drauks and whatever other races happen to be in the game are off-limits.

Ultimately it just feels like the demo doesn't do a good job of properly giving you enough time. It's just a tiny taste of some of the systems, but it's still just not enough to sell me even though the Treehouse streams have caught my interest. Hard to say where I'll go with it, but I'm interested in it but not enough to buy it at launch right now. May pirate to try then buy later if I like it

Well you only have 6 residents in the demo while in the Treehouse segment you already have like 20+. That's a big difference. Though I feel that the girl in that Treehouse demo should've made the dungeon's difficultly a bit more challenging since her characters were already pretty strong to show people there's a sense of challenge in the game.

So /v/, what enemies are you expecting or would like to see in this game? I'd personally like to fight foes based on Hindu mythos, especially deities. Having to fight Shiva or Rudra as a (super) boss would be pretty great.

Definitely going to be picking this game up. I've been looking for a game like this for awhile and although the combat is rather simple I could see myself getting into it, especially with the switching mechanic. The boss shown in the treehouse also seemed pretty neat as an indicator of what bosses might be like in this game.

I dunno, it really isn't winning me over so far. Its the same reason why I really couldn't get into Rune Factory 5. I don't want to spend a lot of time in the village doing chores and I want beat the shit out of enemies instead. Occasionally taking care of the villagers is fine, but not when it takes way too long just to get anywhere.

It's really comfy and one of those very hidden little "games that only i've played". You play as a king in a town and you have to send adventurers out into dungeons and while they are gone you manage building the city and organize them. Sometimes story events happen too. It's been many years since I played it but I have really fond memories of it. Its a wiiware game but you could probaby emulate it on dolphin.
