This is retarded honestly. Either this or microtransactions is necessary for a lot of games. Full price has meant the same thing for awhile, but games have become more expensive to develop and marketing budgets have grown substantially. Sales aren't getting much better. In fact afaik they're getting worse. For the most part I'd prefer to pay $60 (which honestly rarely happens since it's just AAA new games) and pay the rest if I like it rather than have $100 games with all content included. The key is that they don't withhold content that's part of the core of the game or get completely lazy.
