Both were terrific.

I'd probably argue that Mario RPG had more consistent design. The 3d parts in today's island are kinda odd.

Mario RPG was amazing to me when I was 6. Yoshi's Island was beautiful in a simpler way though, but you're right about consistency.

Kirby and the rainbow curse was so fucking good looking and so was yoshi's wooly world.

Too bad Nintendo dropped the ball with those two games. Especially with Kirby. It should have been a main styled kirby game without the gimicky rolling bullshit. Would have been amazing.

Despite MGS1 being on the PSX, I feel like they did a lot to make it still work and not go completely "realistic" on the console, which most games failed at
Kirby 64 also had a nice style
