EVE
I just realized I havent gone to Goldshire/Elwynn Forest, Westfall or Duskwood in like 4 years..
is this what growing up feels like?
Asheron's Call always felt like there was something to explore... It was fun to just run through a seamless overworld and see what you could find. Sure, the overworld was empty for the most part, but it had a great ambiance & made me feel like I really was running across a huge world, as opposed to WoW which was just a bunch of connected zones with clear borders.
I played Ultima Online for a good while too, but I was 12-13 years old, and wasn't very good at it. I just remember mining/blacksmithing and vendoring ring mail until I was able to buy a house. Also had a provocation/archer that was fun as hell, back when provo was broken. But overall, AC was the bigger adventure
