A very good sequel even if you ignore the P2W bullshit plants.
>Garden Warfare 1
Some terrible design choices, but a really enjoyable third-person team-based shooter whose major game mode, Gardens and Graveyards, was comparable to a smaller-scale modern Battlefield game.
>Heroes
A Digital Collectible Card Game that features some interesting mechanics and is fun, but is now very F2P unfriendly.
>Back in Beta, they gave you free cards for clearing SP Missions in a pick 1 of 2 style format and Gems for MP Battles to buy packs with
>Near release, they changed to Gems and Coins, Coins being the currency you got for finishing any battle, more if you win, more if it was a SP Boss Fight (SP were win-only)
>Coins got you the "Common" cards
>Gems got you all the rest, which you got from advancing ranks in MP and Daily Quests
>They eventually got with of Hero Coins and consolidated all the Cards into the Gem packs

While I generally agree, I've gotten years of enjoyment out of the game. I don't mind throwing a few bucks at it. I've gone dry up to this point. And I fucking love Early game that naturally turns into Late game through usage.

I browse the Heroes Sub-reddit because there's nowhere else to get any news and from what I've seen, they plan to up something like 40 classic Cards 1 Rarity tier. Uncommons to Rares, 2 per Tribe, Rares to Epics, 1 per Tribe, and Epics to Legendary, 1 per Tribe.
More recently, there's probably gonna be a major Pineclone nerf to where it does nothing if there's already a Pineclone on the board, meaning you can't refresh Pineclones or top off after some mushroom spam.

Honestly that kind of sucks but it's a fair nerf. Most likely your board is already filled when you use your first Pineclone. Just use other shit when holes start being punched in your lawn. And by the time you want to put a second one down your opponent probably already got slaughtered. I prefer Pineclones as a turn 5 or 6 play so I can finish with Dandy Lion King or Grapes of Wrath.
