I was going to poll the thread before the tourney tomorrow, but I might as well ask what everyone would prefer right now:

A - Teams paired at my discretion, to form teams with a common theme in the name of fun. For example, grouping any insect Vermin together, and placing skeletons on the same team with the milk jug posted earlier.

B - Randomly seeded teams for minimum human interference and maximum anarchy.

A sounds a lot more fun. While having random teams is probably more balanced, it won't be as interesting to look at.
I mean, would you rather root for a team themed around skeletons, or for a team where a nicely designed skelly is paired with a solid pink circle and a slightly changed fakemon?

I'm not saying that a circle and a fakemon have worse designs than a skelly, I'm saying that they would look better in a team with similar /v/ermins.

It's all random anyway, so I don't think it's actually possible to abuse the system with a certain team comp.

Im not sure how the AI will work, but if is too broken, i might change it to "Skellyfu and the allies will have a higher chance of attacking the enemy with the lowest HP".
But the overall idea is to take down enemies faster than they can take us down.

Maybe it doesn't neutralise stat changing abilities, but instead it buffs them insanely. Instead of getting +1 to a stat, you'd get +1 to all stats because they have to be equal.
