There's 6 Metroid threads on /v/ right now. 7 if you include mine. Let that sink in for a moment. A week ago we would have been laughed out of /v/ but now.... now... METROID IS BACK BABY!
To distinguish my thread I have a question that I've yet to see. Did anyone else think the "4" was in reference to Fusion somehow before the Prime logo appeared?

Is this what we have to look forward to for the next two years? The game realistically won't be out until early 2019 considering they had nothing to show but the logo during the conference. It's FFVII Remake all over again.

Maybe Nintendo will make Metroid their new "Zelda" and release a Collector's Edition on Switch that includes the Trilogy, Hunters, and a demo of 4. Like how Zelda CE includes a 20 minute Wind Waker demo.

For real? I thought at the absolute earliest we would get is Winter 2019. More like 2020 honestly.
"Now in development" isn't exactly very reassuring. The fact that all they have ready to show is a logo says a lot. Especially since this is more than likely a higher budget game ala BotW
