3. Upon realizing Camilla survived an 84% OHKO, the Maid uses Freeze on her to lower her AVO for the next attack.
4. Paladin moves into melee range to attack Camilla, using the Bow Knight in #2 as a support partner. Notice the hit rates: 82% and 91% hit rates for lance/bow. Without Freeze, the hitrates would be 62% and 71%. Both attacks hit Camilla and kill her. Note that without the support attack from the General in #2, she would've lived.

In this single exchange, you have the AI utilizing bow advantage against archers, abusing attack stance three times (maximizing archer attacks), and dynamically using Freeze - all with perfect sequencing. If any of the 4 steps were not done correctly, Camilla would've very likely survived.

Apparently one of the Camilla cards has the highest raw attack power in the game reflecting her one man army blood knight character nature in the game. Honestly it's hard to recommend you something simply because, as you may have noticed, the fanbase is hugely divided. You have the Nu-Fe fans who started with Awakening and are in it for husbandos/waifus, the Elitist FE fans who mostly started with FE7 and are in it for some smug sense of superiority, and those inbetween. Basically, the fanbase is ass.

That said, FE7 (simply Fire Emblem in the West) is one of the best starting points since it was designed as one with a long tutorial (with a waifu I might add). However FE8 (Sacred Stones) is an easier game overall and so you could start with it as well. Both are on the GBA and are highly accessible as a result. Awakening is also decent since it is, again, an easier game that 'revitalized' the series, though it is overall a more simple game in terms of map design.

Generally speaking I think most of the games are pretty solid,though some in different ways. For instance, as you have likely heard, Fates: Conquest's story sucks balls, but it is also very mechanically sound and requires more thought put into playing it. Meanwhile the latest game, Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, has a much better story (though by no means perfect) but is arguably much weaker in terms of gameplay. So basically just try one of the ones mentions above and see how you feel from there.

Nah, Femui is more popular in general, but probably more with girls actually. Yeah she's cute and dumb and guys love that, but girls, at least in Nippon, probably get more into self-inserting than guys and they adore her for it.
