Its a worse version of ICO, still enjoyable though.

Because people who never played Ico or SotC expected some kind of kid-friendly platformer.

I really enjoyed it. The entire story was one of the most engaging in years and the soundtrack is genuinely the best.

I really enjoyed it despite it being annoying at times

I loved how well everything was animated and the whole feel of the world felt huge and fascinating. The armour guys who chase you alwere cool and menacing. Trico felt really believable as an actual living animal i thought.

I loved it, one thing was the garbage frame rate stutters at times but STILL, i felt it was better than the very little credit it was given.

Time have changed, such games just don't belong to the market now.

Ape humans though a game about escorting an AI companion though a old fortress would be SotC 2 rather than Ico 2 and got mad.

The game is great, pretty much good as Ico.

Nah, the AI just sucks. Agro actually felt like a horse. His AI was convincing because he was presumably trained and a long term companion to Wander. So he followed the necessary commands while having just enough will of his own to feel like a real animal.

Trico, on the other hand, is apparently some kind of genius animal that intuitively follows commands but who's AI still constantly gets hung up.

There's also the fact that the gameplay is just shit. The platforming is Uncharted-esque bullshit with no chance of failure, except when Trico's AI fails and he doesn't catch you when he's supposed to. The Last Guardian is like SotC without a stamina bar. Pointless and frustration without any of the emotional weight behind your actions to give the experience depth.
