It is effectively pretty dead. Devs launched it with 5 maps. Of those only a few see steady play. The scoring system punishes players for playing the second round. The game lacks the salt to really maintain interest.

Define dead? I play Day of Infamy a lot and that has around 500-1000 players and it's not a problem at all.

play scout/pointman and drop smoke for your team. machine gunner is also a support class, just lay down fire on enemy positions and keep them surpressed. you can also play grenadier and blow up enemy positions. RPGs are necessary to take down US choppers etc. theres a lot of support roles in this game

Hey dude if you are still here I really enjoy playing an aggressive commander but I usually have to camp the forward radios because radioman is just grunt with smokes to most players. Let me know if you wanna play and I'll post my steam

It all depends on your experience with the game i guess. Playing with a squad of friends usually leads to a pretty good time, and the combat is satisfying. Having a stupid team is what ruins the game. But when everything runs smoothly and falls together, its a whole different gaming experience.
