XCX dub actually wasn't that bad but just judging from the XB2 trailer, this dub sounds pretty sub par. I'm hoping what Nintendo did with BotW is something that we can expect in future games if enough people want it. BotWs English dub was met with heavy criticism. Reading about Monolith Soft's opinion on censorship gives me mixed opinions. I hate the lackadaisical the guy has, where he's like, "oh that's fine, just change it," because to me it seems like a lack integrity with the product they're making. Black Face and Brown Face don't even make sense as names for those Mechon. The Japanese writers just used "Face" to describe those particular Mechon as a whole, and tacked onto that name their dominant colour, not taking into account that any English speaker would take that as a reference to the actual colour of their face. That kind of semi-stylized usage of English works for the Japanese, but to English speakers it's jarring.

See this is what gets me why did it have to wait until the 3rd game for this to be a thing? Why couldn't this have been happening already or why does Nintendo Japan need Nintendo America and Europe to help them understand what's not appropriate or virtuous to put in a game?
