Make it funny,

First of all, move it as far away from Telltale as possible. Maybe Daedalic could do something with it. Not sure who should write it - I don't want Daedalic's writers on it though. the Telltale games were funny, but if there's this some amazing writer who could do wonders with the IP, no one come to mind at the moment.
I believe Deponia sold fairly well, so I think you don't have to try to reinvent the point'n'click formula to make it worth the investment.

As long as it won't be a kickstarter, I'm fine with it.
