Gears of war 4 recently had a compression patch, reducing the game size by 50-something gb on pc and around 20-ish gb on xbone. Hopefully other games can start implementing this as well. These game sizes are getting ridiculous

That's awful. It pisses me off that lately every game is way too big. Can't they pack the files or something.... fuck.
If it's going to use the bullshit encryption DRM like Horizon does, then it will create 100GB every new update. That would wear down SSDs pretty bad.
