I'm sick of games jamming modern gender/race politics in my face when all I'm looking to do is unwind and enjoy some vidya. If a character is well written and serves a purpose, that's great, they can be any colour or gender they want to be. If they're there for the entire purpose of 'LOOK, STRONG INDEPENDENT WIMMYN' or whatever and don't serve any actual functional purpose it's just exhausting and irritating.

What /v/ seems not to understand, the only reason /pol/ thinks that a character being black in a game matters is because the developer thinks it matters. /pol/ sees that some developer put a nigger in a game solely to appease the SJWs, and to add to that, they made the character as generic and bland as you can get, and that's what it pisses them off. Nobody gives a shit if a character is black if it's well written and wasn't put there to suck up to SJWs.

The difference is if a character feels forced.
CJ was not forced and the entire game was based around black hood culture

However, when a generic black woman character with an afro gets pushed into a game for seemingly no reason (Beyond god and evil ended on a cliffhanger for fucks sake, why did they make it a fucking prequel) it genuinely feels like the devs are trying to pander to some group and this has a detrimental effect on the game itself.

tl;dr
There is nothing wrong with black characters, there is however something wrong with forced generic characters, regardless of their skin color
