Pretty close to a dream premise for me but I'm not optimistic with that resume. No way it'll match VTMB's atmosphere and lore but it doesn't have to try hard to be technically better.

Combat looked pretty good, but you can't be a successor to Bloodlines without the level of character, atmosphere, and art design it had. What a timeless game.

From what I've seen the game should be a letdown

It seems like it has awful writing. No nuance to it, no humor, no personality, just dry boring exposition. And the game seems to be relying on story and writing a lot. So VTMB will still be better either way.

Along with that the UI and facial animations are terrible. Visuals, atmosphere and combat seem fine.
