People are largely upset with the low res and hardware power.
I can't say I share the same sentiments, considering how cheap the thing is and how it means devs can make more games for cheaper and a wider audience. Works fine for me.

I own both a Switch and a 3DS and I'm happy both are having a good year.

I think what it is is that some of the Switch haters have latched onto the 3DS, trying to pit it against its new brother console. In response, some of those Switch owners who don't own both consoles have been calling the 3DS garbage. And those people who hate Nintendo altogether are trying to make it seem like Nintendo is making a huge mistake by supporting both, despite the fact that Nintendo has always supported at least two separate console lines at any given time since the original Gameboy.

Nintendo is doing just fine supporting 3DS/2DS as the budget handheld and the Switch as its higher end hybrid.

Ever Oasis demo was great. Pretty good idea of what to expect in the full game but obviously lacks a lot of mechanics that will make the experience more meaty.

The only thing keeping me from adding a -ad is EOV and Kirby. The former released a fucking year ago in Japan, and the latter is a complete unknown. And it kills me since handhelds are way fucking better than consoles but this may be the last one we get.
