Depends on how they handle it. Daud's DLC had the best levels in 1, and while some of 2's levels top it others are more inconsistent. If they can get the level design just right, it'll be a masterpiece, because 2's powers and tools were already just about perfect.

She was friendly with Aramis Stilton, which isn't that crazy because they're both from the poor part of karnaca. D2 missed the point on a lot of things.

There's only 3 targets you really can choose to kill (Jindosh, Breanna and Delilah). The others target (Hypatia, Stilton, The Duke) are meant to be neutralized non-lethally unless you're playing as an asshole out to really ruin Karnaca. In D1 it was a more personal choice.

They're just watered-down clones of LGS games nowadays. At least Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah tried something new. Dishonored and Prey are just bland. They kinda look good, level design is top notch, but they're so predictable and boring to play. Zero difficulty also.

It doesn't hurt that Dishonored and Prey have interersting art styles and I really think the gameplay is great. Sure, it doesn't always live up to the Lookin Glass standards but still, I'd rather have that than nothing at all. And yes, they're not super difficult, but I think it's alright on the hardest settings.
DX:HR/MD have worse gameplay and, compared to Dishonored, a less interesting world. Still good, but I think Arkane's games are way ahead.
I really hope Arkane keeps going like this. Maybe someday they'll reach their full potential and give us something truly amazing. Until then, I'm more than happy to keep playing Dishonored an Prey.

‘That was not our intention’

The biggest change Arkane Studios brought to its Dishonored franchise in Dishonored 2 was making Emily Kaldwin playable. In an interview with Engadget at E3 2017, Arkane’s co-creative director, Harvey Smith, said it was criticism about the lack of female characters in the first game that led to Emily being playable in the second.

“At first you take some criticism and you go, ‘Wait a minute,’ and then you go look and it’s like, ‘Wow, every woman in Dishonored 1 is either a servant, a prostitute, a witch, a queen or a little girl,’” Smith said. “Or a mistress. We had a mistress. That was not our intention.

“When something like that pops up, you can get defensive if you want, or you can say, ‘Guys, let me just ask this: Did we mean that?’ And the answer is no, we did not mean that.”

Smith, who was being interviewed by Feminist Frequency founder Anita Sarkeesian, told her it was one of her videos examining the role of women as background characters in games that led to Arkane Studios having a conversation about Dishonored.

“We internally sat down. ... Your comment I will always remember, and I will take it to my grave,” Smith said. “It was something like, while Dishonored is a game that does many things very well, the roles that it has for women are very narrow.”

Dishonored 2 gives people the option to either play as Corvo, the main character from Dishonored, or Emily, who was a 10-year-old princess Corvo had to rescue in the first game.

Dishonored 2 is currently available to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. A follow-up, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, is scheduled to be released in mid-September.

Fug, I'm not one to get involved in this sort of pointless discussion, but what the hell else did you want? Narrow WHERE? Hell, if you have a problem with prostitutes existing anywhere in the universe, the Golden Cat is a very sad level where every girl is miserable and they're certainly treated as more than just eye candy.

The dlc should have been Emily and Daud putting their differences asside to fight the outsider. The player then gets to choose who they play. The one they don't pick sorta acts like Billie in the first dlc and gives the player the run down of what's happening, where to go and what to do. The story should have been about Emily forgiving Daud and realising that the death of her mother wasn't Daud's fault but the Outsider's.

Honestly tho. Who thought it would be good for Billie to be the one to kill the Outsider? Corvo, Emily and Daud I can get behind. But Billie? Really?

Gees louzie, I wonder why people are mad at this....I could understand playing as Daud because even Daud had much more of a story with the outsider than Billie, Billie barely ranks as a footnote in their story.

Well, the great thing about the outsider was debating theories on who he was, then the developers went full retard and showed their own boring unfun explanation, perhaps the outsider dying its for the best, before they can ruin him any further.

If they had to make a minor, irrelevant side character the protagonist for some god-forsaken reason they could at least have picked the one that looked like she some hidden depths to then.
Seriously, what's with this lady? She escapes Havelock's purge, has a distinctive enough character design, and is never heard from again.
