the amount of ASTs (WHM ship jumpers) that fumble their cards is astounding

I really like how many of the roles skills seem legitimately useful in certain circumstances and that you will probably end up swapping some of them out depending on the fight. Way better than cross-class for damn sure.

What is the benefit of Shoulder Tackle under the influence of Fists of Wind? Earth has knockback, Fire has increased potency, but Wind allows you to ST twice but at halved damage. Both don't equal the sum of a Fire Tackle, so whats the use?

It's not even that many more Fell Cleaves, either. It's just that it lets you save up to ten "stacks" so that you can put more of them into your Berserks.

This has the side effect of making WAR the most 1-2-3 tank in the game with pathetic damage in between Berserks.

PLD Cover is now permanent and uses oath gauge as its turned on (only thing to use the oath gauge in PVP). You also get a "de-cover" ability, so you can switch targets on the fly.

PLD is now ballsdeep partner for melee DPS or symbiotic relationship with a healer.

Really looking forward to it, and cover is easily my favorite theme ability, and the overhaul in general. Love you Yoshi.

So why would you not use your first two Umbral Hearts on Fire 2? On top of that, you're still going to have MP left over after your first Flare for more Fire 2s, before you just blow it all on Flare again.

If you're not going to cast Fire 2, there's no point in even casting Fire 3 to shift into Astral Fire, because it only increases the damage of Fire spells. You're also omitting Thunder IV.

Not including potion and manashift dumbassery (no one is going to manashift a BLM), the actual rotation is more like:
Blizzard 3 > Enochian > Thunder IV > Blizzard IV > Fire 3 > Fire 2 > Fire 2 > Flare > Fire 2 > Fire 2 > Flare > Convert > Flare > Transpose > Blizzard IV > Thunder IV > Foul (if up) > repeat from Fire 3

No. Finding an FC to do shit with is as easy as just asking "ANYONE HAVE AN FC I CAN JOIN?" in shout. If you're enthusiastic and actually want to do things, you'll find like minded people.
FFXIV's problem is the exact opposite of WoW's.
Trying to get people engaged enough to want to do anything is a fucking chore, and there are a looot of people out there that don't even want to join an FC at all.

Either that, or it's a massive random invite FC with 300+ people and their FC chats are filled with arguements and drama non-stop.
It's like there's no real middleground unless you drag your real life friends or friends from other games into FFXIV to suffer with you.
