Hey /v/ I'm after a comfy zombie survival game,
Ideally something like X-Com or Jagged Alliance,
But i'm really looking for some base and survivor management along with the meat of it.
I loved State Of Decay, Even though it was a buggy unfinished mess.
Dead State was okay, but frustrating as fuck to start and i really hated all the characters
Can you guys recommend anything?

Oh shit forgot about Project Zomboid, I should give that another chance it's been years.

Yeah on paper it sounds fucking fantastic,
But if you fuck up you have to go through that WHOLE intro again, and after that it started to become a bit to samey,
The same zombies would spawn in the same town with the same raiders in the same location.
Would've loved a bit more spice in there,
Like a random generated country map,
Random towns,
Random Starting building
Random loot,
Random Starting survivors,
and then just sandbox have at it.

I honestly think the games concepts were only getting better as I went along, but I only played for maybe 8-10 hours and I had no experience with turn based combat RPGs and apparently suck at them, so it was honestly pretty brutal.
I thought the game was rigid to a fault already by design, but with all the bugs and potentially literally impossible (!) random encounters I felt like playing it was like walking a tightrope that kept getting smaller and smaller
