It seems counter intuitive but there's a max amount of enemies that can spawn at a time so if you kill one enemy at a time then only one will spawn at a time. Bring breaker skills to because all the enemies have them and they're super fast too so it's practically the only way to ORKO anything.

Also those defence tiles are a fucking trap. Going onto them is just going to get you swarmed by everything at once.

It's not the difficulty for me, I can sweep through Lunatic 7 decently well with a Renewal 2 Lucina, TA MRobin, Anna and 4* Olivia.
It's that fucking grind though. I mean, I get it. People have been complaining since launch that there was hardly anything to do in this game with your stamina. That doesn't mean that you should make a mode where you have to grind dozens upon hundreds of matches for the rewards though. They could easily double the point gain and it'd still be a grind, but it'd be a much more reasonable one at least.

First you have to spend 5 orbs to open a random pool of red/blue/green/white. If you don't get the color you want you are fucked

Then you have to actually draw the character you want

Then you actually have to hope the super rare character you have doesn't have garbage stats. -Atk, too bad they are probably shit.

The rates being slightly higher than most doesn't make up for all that bullshit.

The problem this game has is that everything is balanced around how fast you can kill things. Unless a unit can kill something in one turn, it's worthless. Even your tanks need to be offensive powerhouses to be useful.

Adding reinforcements just makes this issue even more apparent.

Copying the Infernal Strategy I posted on Leddit if anyone needs help:

Infernal Strategy:

Lucina (Speed seal to prevent being doubled) Reinhardt (Reposition) Kagerou Azura (Wings of Mercy)

Move Kagerou up to attack the one on the right from the safe squares, dance with Azura, finish him off then have Reinhardt reposition Azura. Keep Lucina in the starting square, bottom left.
The blue mage will die to Kagerou in the enemy turn. Two more enemies spawn.

Use Lucina to attack the blue mage that spawns directly above her. Bring Kagerou down to finish it off. Use Reinhardt to attack the Legion that spawns beside it, dance with Azura to finish it off. His Moonbow should now be available for the next combat round.
Enemies move towards you, but can't reach. The cavalier that spawned at the top should move right towards Reinhardt.

I tried it with some other characters, but Legion is do fucking fast that you need to have a really speedy Red or a good TA melee Red, which is in short supply. Roy would be perfect funnily enough.

Kagerou can be substituted for B!Cordelia, Quadsuna, Desperation Nino, anything like that. Nino is possibly a better choice actually since there's only two Reds on the whole map.

Azura can be substituted with any dancer with WoM.

Reinhardt I honestly don't know if you can substitute, maybe Linde or Bucina; but that 3 Mov is crutch.

Thundercock is at least on Banner right now, and so is Lucina/Masked Marth if you're willing to put in the effort SI-ing her. It's shitty, but at least people have a shot at getting them.
That still leaves Senran Kagero, who a ton of people aren't going to have (thanks for literally never updating the 3* pool ISIS) and is central to your strategy here. Aquafina, who's a natural 5* unit, also suffers fron this (Thundercock as well), but from a cursory glance at that post, it doesn't look like she's doing any fighting. But who's to say that the enemy will move the same when you use someone like the free Olivia instead? That could fuck everything up.
All in all, I appreciate the effort but realistically this is going to help next to nobody.

Felicia just baits in and butchers the mages, Felicia heals Gwen, Gwen buffs Felicia, Gwen blocks units from hitting Felicia, Felicia debuffs units fighting Gwen. It's remarkably effective. The only real concern are axe knights, which generally deal enough damage to Gwen to overcome the healing, and survive the debuff/Gwen counters.

I suppose some Heavy Lance and/or dragons would give them trouble as well, although the dragons I've met have been lured in with Felicia and my archer has ended up cleaning up the occasional Heavy Lance.

Eh. I just started and so have the beginning units, plus ten pulls (from spending 40 orbs). And the way things work in this game, I think I'm just going to hang onto any orbs I do collect for the next limited event, since there doesn't seem to be any difference between pulling now and pulling when that happens, it terms of what I get. (I mean, pulling now doesn't seem like it has any benefit.) So, outside these 1* and 2* characters available each day from missions, I'm not exactly getting many new units.

That is, people who are able to drop $100 or even $1000 during a limited event, in order to get the characters they want from the random draw. They are the people typically keeping this stuff up and running.

It really depends on the character, if you just want them to be skill fodder then there's no reason to wait. Some characters come with good enough skills that they don't need a lot of SP to really hold off promoting until 40, either. My Reinhardt is sitting at like 1.1k SP after I have him deathblow and lancebreaker, so he probably would've been fine to promote a bit early since I got him as a 4*.

Usually it's not too hard to get them to level 40, so if you want to use them, then get them all the way up so you have SP to spare if you want to change up their build.

Just when I think victory is in my grasp and one Legion remains, more cavalry appear. Only one pot used but damn, this was way harder than I thought and the map layout didn't help at all.

As a tip, try to move all your units to the right side, if you can one shot the first Legion and blue mage, you might be able to squeeze through that area and snipe them one by one.

I made a picture Step by Step guide for you fuckers. Hope it helps for anyone struggling with Infernal.

The units I've used here are fairly specific, but aside from Reinhardt, they can all be substituted fairly easily, what you need is:

1- A Frontloaded Desperation Damage dealer. I've used Kagerou, but B!Cordelia, Tharja, Klein, Linde, B!Lucina, a second Reinhardt or anyone who can blow someone up would be fine. Nino works fine but will need fairly good SI since she'll have to kill a 31 Res Red Mage.

2- A Red either fast enough to not be doubled by Legion (>37 Spd) or strong enough to take Two hits from him. I used Lucina with a speed seal, but Xander or really anyone with TA or Axebreaker would work fine. I imagine Roy would be ideal. If you don't have this, just give whatever Red you do have Axebreaker.

3- Reinhardt with Moonbow and Reposition. You can probably use Cecilia, Olwen or Ursula for this, but Reinhardt just makes thing too easy. He doesn't need to be perfect IV's or anything and you don't need the QP seal. He's been in like 6 banners already, hopefully you've got him!

4- A Dancer with Wings of Mercy. I've tested with Olivia and Azura, worked practically the same each time, Ninian should be no problem.

If you have enough SP to give your Dancer Hone Speed then you can do this strategy with only 34 Speed on your Red, since they'll be standing next to your Dancer before the key turn. I just wanted to minimise the amount of SI needed for this guide. But it occurs to me that's probably FAR better as wasted SP than putting Axebreaker on a random red.
