Ubisoft isn't all that bad. If you look at the line-up of games they have made the past year and a half you really wouldn't be this hard on them.

My good friends at Kotaku did a wonderful article detailing BG&E2, where they went to a behind-closed-dors demonstration of the engine. The tour guide said it took them years to get the engine to the point that they could seamlessly transition from the hub world on the ground level to space, and to simulate the entire universe at once. He is behind all the recent acquisitions, and he's the one who wants Ubisoft. He's already got a very good grip on the video games sector: news and tests websites (JV.com), youtubers (squeezie), streaming (jvtv), esports (Millenium.org).
Basically Bollore wants to control everything, and has strong ties to french corrupt politicians (Sarkozy etc). He already did quite a lot of harm to Canal+, fired many people and axed programs because it was too subversive or made fun of his friends.
I really doubt any good can come from this. Vivendi only cares about money
