ITT: post your most disappointing games of the first of half of 2017
And remember, BE HONEST.
>>380696445
OP here. Forgot to mention the reasoning why as well. The game is casual shit and rage arts kill way too easy
>>380697025
Having health low enough to get killed by a Rage Art means you could have used it as well to win. If you didnt then the opponent was superior.
>>380697025
The way rage arts are handled in the game is complete shit honestly. I feel no one can deny that.
>>380697025
rage arts suck though
If it's honesty you want, it's honesty you'll get.
it's not a bad game but it's just too repetitive and uninspired beyond the bosses
For me it was Yooka Laylee. I canceled my pre-order last minute. It's not even a bad game, it's just that the developers need to take a class on good game design because they haven't learned a thing since Tooie.
>>380697025
>waaaah I'm shit and can't block
>>380696445
>>380697025
I think the gameplay is fantastic and if your complain is rage arts, you're the casual shit.
My complains lie with the customization mode. Not nearly as comprehensive as TTT2's.
>>380697653
I really liked the game but I can see why someone wouldn't like it. I feel they needed a bigger budget.
Resident Evil 7. Bait and switch. Turns into the worst shooter I've ever played.
>>380697221
>Having health low enough to get killed by a Rage Art means you could have used it as well
rage arts do way more than 25% health

I don't see how, even at its most action oriented you can still run past everything and is hardly more intensive than a slightly busy encounter in the Revelations games, and EVEN THEN that only happens like twice - in the bottom floor of the ship and the salt mines, both of which are incredibly short. RE7 can only be considered an action game for all of maybe 15 minutes. Maybe.
>>380697725
kek this
>>380697472
Care to explain why? I was gonna get it for Wii U, but I've lost a lot of interest now. Just other games I see myself putting time in.
>>380698526
There are plenty of sections, if not a shooter, still a frantic mess. But from the very first encounters you're left to Sprint around kettle arenas, pop off some shots before working out what exactly to do. I stopped playing shortly after the black things were introduced.
Basically none of the game felt nice to play.
>>380696445
I just bought this, and holy shit
I'm a KI, Street Fighter kinda dude and this shit is so far out of my depth it's not even funny
>sidestepping
>juggling
>crush moves or whatever
>150 move long movelists
>one hit takes off 1/16th of my lifebar
How DO I get good? Anyone you recommend I start ass?
>>380699005
>>150 move long movelists
literally like 20 are good and the rest are awful or incredibly situational

youre a scrubby 017er, gb2/SFV/

Entirely personal preference. BotW does succeed in what it sets out to accomplish but what it accomplishes is not what I love about Zelda. The overworld is massive and the sense of exploration is well realized but I get bored with that sort of thing very quickly, I much prefer focused dungeon designs and BotW drip feeds it to the player far too slow for my tastes. Twilight Princess was much more my speed, a little bit of exploration but firmly oriented in its main quest progression, fun dungeon gimmicks and setpiece moments. If TP was about 70/30 in favor of main questing over exploration, BotW is like 90/10 in the reverse and that's just not my thing.
>>380697025
4chan is the only place I've seen people shit on this game. Everyone else is loving this game, casuals and pro's alike. With proper DLC treatment this will be the best Tekken game. Stop trying so hard to hate every new thing fags

>I'm a KI and SF dude
>Confused on high damage counters, extreme combos, and crushes
Fucking casuals.
>>380699301
huh I didn't care for TP but you also address my main apprehension about BotW. I'm all about well designed levels. LA and MM are more my jam and I have a soft spot for TWW even if I accept its potential was underrealized.

my nigga, tekken is a lifestyle. you will never learn everything, ever.
for starters, check out avoidingthepuddle on youtube. he is funny and is knowledgeable about tekken. watch his guides on T7 and maybe TTT2. ive heard that kingjae is also decent.
the most simple breakdown i can give you is this: to win you need to lower your opponents lifebar to 0 and the way you do this is by doing juggles and (wallcombos for added damage). but you cant just throw out juggle starters raw like that and this is where strategy kicks in.
learn about what pokes your character has. look at their movelist. PROTIP: with some exceptions 10f is the fastest a move can startup. this means that everything -9 on block is usually safe.
but whatever, im not about to drop an essay on your ass go and watch videos of some of the people ive recommended
>>380699005
play katarina and mash 4
>>380698957
I'm not sure what you're getting at here but considering you dropped it at the introduction of the molded I assume your definition of the "first encounters" are the Mia/Jack boss fights, which are pretty well in line with what RE is. Running around in cramped spaces and popping off shots happened in even the early RE games like the giant snake in RE1 or most fixed Nemesis encounters in RE3. The game does occasionally stray from the classic RE stylings and even when it does adhere to them it's arguably not as good. But nah, the early game is basically simplified RE1 with a dash of Nemesis.

WW's the only 3D Zelda I like less - I don't think either does the dungeon side of things very well but BotW does exploration better and its dungeons, when they happen, are slightly more interesting than WW's. Honestly, I would say BotW is first and foremost a better WW. I don't care much for WW though so fat lot of good that does me.
>>380699473
I never learned terminology for fightan games. I just like punching stuff anon.
>>380696445
Tekken is so damn great
>>380696445
How do I playMiguel?
>>380697025
Rage arts are easy to block though.
My complaints are
>Story is awful
>No decent CGI prologue/epilogue while playing characters in arcade mode
>Soundtrack is awful
>No jukebox on PC
>Uses Denuvo
>One launcher combo can take half your lifebar
>Not a lot of singleplayer content if online starts being a shit
>>380701002
>>380700901
How do I play my waifu Leo?
>>380701091
>uses Denuvo
I might as well get the PS4 version then
What's Jukebox? Is it just swap in-game tracks with each other or a better way to play music in-game than the standard PS4 audio playing?
>>380697025
>>380697256
Learn to block, casual scum.
>>380701229
Jukebox is where you change the BGM to older tekken music

Conformists are honestly the biggest scum in human history.
If Tekken 8 would have every single move be a 1HKO you would still get people justifying it and saying
>Just block it scrub lmao just don't get hit
I was expecting Platinum gameplay with Taro story and robutt.
I got Taro game and 9S.
This should've been so much more than what it ended up being. The combat is constant and boring and the story is meandering and forgettable, with all of the critical backstory relegated to side material.
>>380697025
>>380697256
You should have seen the shit hole Tekken Revolution was. At least the moves are blockable.
>>380701672
>not reversing the 1HKO so it will kill the other player instead
get gud scrub.
