If this is real then it's kinda stupid they didn't even TEASE it at their e3 showing. Nintendo got a huge pop just from showing the logo for Metroid Prime 4. All they had to do was at the end of the sizzle reel instead of showing of lil' spider-nigger, they carve the hunter rune in blood against the black screen and put a " I I " and just end on that.

Though I do kinda worry that there's not much material to make a Bloodborne 2? Like the original ran the gamut of gothic horror and lovecraftian themes, if the sequel is literally "Bloodborne 2" then where do you go from there? How differently can you spin another spooky town, haunted castle or eerie forest? What other themes could you come up with? I'd more likely believe they would spin off the Souls series again into a different setting.

BB2 will only exist in the near future as a Japan Studio only game, or a Japan Studio collab with a different company entirely (kek) because the IP is Sony's and they can do whatever they want with it.

He just said he was done with Dark Souls and if his team wanted to make a fourth one years down the line, he'd let them if they really wanted to. It's obvious that they'll team up with Japan Studio again at some point in time but the question is whether they create a new IP or BB2. Being done with Dark Souls doesn't mean they're done making action RPGs. They already said they were going to make another Armored Core as well.

What I'm saying is that if it's Bloodborne 2, with that name, they'd have to stick with the overall tone and theme of Bloodborne for it to make sense but then it risks feeling too much like a retread. They could absolutely do something creative and different but at that point it would be better to not make it a sequel to Bloodborne and instead be its own Souls spinoff like the rumored Aztec idea.
