Are you me? I've been playing since Pokemon Blue way back when Pokemon first hit American shores. I've seen a shiny Snover in Platinum and a shiny Graveler which blew itself up in Fire Red. I even did the breeding method for the increased shiny chance trying to nab myself a shiny Charmander. Hatched 3,000 of those things over the course of 6 months and got nada.

I rolled on Elysium, a 2004 emulated Warcraft server with a friend back in February.

The warriors in this try-hard guild are running Black Rock Depths, the worst instance every made, up to 400 times each for a weapon that has like a 1% drop rate. On a garbage private server that will be shut down eventually.

Why don't they make a game where the droprates of certain extremely rare weapons only drop once or a very limited amount of times based on the amount of player accounts existing on a server? Those weapons can be taken if the player is challenged and beaten in a duel (legendary weapon may or may not be usable) and will return to the drop pool if the user has been inactive for too long. These weapons have a 100% droprate and are first-come-first-serve.

Last time i played, was trying to make a Veemon, so i got a mercenary egg from an in-game shop with a somewhat rare currency you get by scanning mercenary eggs, after that i grinded for data, only got a few and then i decided the hell with it and bought the remaining data from a player shop, spending quite a bit of in-game money. I went up there, started the proceedure, and failed on the first try, losing the egg and data. Needless to say that all this discouraged me quite a bit, spend time and most of my in-game money on a failure. Again, i wouldnt mind it if it didnt require all this grind, yes you could say this game is "P2W" but then again its not impossible to play without real money involved, is just that you gonna have to be patient or else you gonna die trying.
