They were a fun "minor" series of games that had some success. Still fun to try out, but why not just play metal gear then.

Played them when I was younger. Remember them being good. Since I replayed resident evil 2 today maybe I replay the first syphon filter games to refresh my memory and form a more current opinion. Until then, they are good.

The first one is one of the first games that I remember playing. Starting people on fire with the taser is cool.

It's worth playing once for the taser alone.
Also way less emphasis on stealth. I'm not sure why everybody insisted on comparing it with Metal Gear back then.

1 and 2 had great gameplay and nice mix of stealth, action, exotic locales and james bond crazyness

way better than the metal gears of the time and all their weeb crap cutscenes, 10h length and garbage gameboy camera

people that say these games are similar are retards that have no understanding of genre and mechanics and can't see past the theme, i.e. the coat of paint on top
