Ryan has power due what he is affiliated with. ScreenWave is small YouTube network, which appeals to a lot of larger channels that wanted to bail from Maker, Machinima etc. Big fish, small pond syndrome basically... Oh and they offered 90/10 rates before that became the standard thanks to Curse.

During the first major ad crisis, they signed pretty much every notable animator (Since they have shares in the advertising for Newgrounds btw) and since than, have been silently signing names from Maker and Machinima for the last few years. Easy to find who is signed to them, it's public info on the YouTube channel.

The network also places funding into cons and recently game publishing. Most notable being TooManyGames. However they do stuff at MAGfest also; perfect locations to swap business cards without any emails to trace back to. Can't say you are tapping up cilents from rivals without a data trail.

The network itself has less than 1000 or so names signed, which is why Ryan and ScreenWave get a free-pass from the shit they pulled compared to Maker/Curse etc.

I get this, but I also think it's reasonable for the other people involved with Cinemassacre that it's time they become more than James' occasional sidekick and branch out into more territories, it's never fun to see that only 1 guy in the group is getting all the credit and spotlight.

His monster madness stuffs are pretty good but nobody fucking watches them.

Also to echo /tv/'s opinion of James, he likes good movies for weird reasons and he often misses the actual point of the things that made the movie good so I never take his movie reviews seriously, regardless they are still enjoyable.

The Angry Video Game Nerd falls in love with the Irate Gamer.

Unable to confess, James Rolfe is gifted by a deus ex machina with Chris Bores' phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls him, and is overjoyed to find out that he has a crush on him as well.

But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to Bores, he only looks at him with a perplexed expression and says, "GET THE HEYL OUT OF MAH PROPERTY!" then heaves an exasperrated sigh. After some investigation, James finds out that the boy he called is not the same boy who plagiarized him. In fact, he doesn't exist in this universe at all. He is the Irate Gamer's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with AVGN's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of his crush.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of PLAGIARISM.
