I have that same monitor. I use it for VHS tapes.

I prefer gaming on a massive HDTV using an upscaler.

I'm annoyed far more by CRT flaws than current HD tech.

My uncle has the huge ass 36 inch CRT I had when I was a kid. He said I could have it back for free but I need to go pick it up and he lives in another state. I have no wheels and even if I did it would need to be a van or something big enough to fit it in.
Sure I can probably get a used one for cheap to save me the hassle but I want that specific one because it holds sentimental value.

Also I got this shitty used PC that I installed a Linux emulator OS on and I have pretty much whole libraries for NES, SNES, etc.
The PC only outputs audio and video by VGA and the standard 3.5 audio jack but I want to connect it to the CRT when I get it. Is there an adapter to convert VGA/3.5jack to RCA cables?

I have an old CRT in my bedroom.

I can hear it make a loud ringing nose whenever it's on.

It's pretty nostalgic and great for mood but aside from that it's not really that great for actually watching stuff.

crts are literally the opposite of comfy. they're too big and clunky

CRTS are not biodegradable and are considered one of the hardest types of electronic waste to recycle. If you care about the environment, you wouldn't use crts.

Actually these have a purpose. I didn't realize it until I started up my N64 for the first time in years last week, only to realize that my one year old, state of the art, 4K LED television has fucking input lag with the system. Googled it and sure enough this is a universal problem with old consoles and new TV's.

One of my buddies brought over their PC to the living room for GC emulation and it looks pretty damn gorgeous on an HDTV. Dolphin actually supports the wii u gc adapter and we had a good time playing mario party and double dash with the actual controllers.

If I ever get a better job I definitely wanna build a seperate little microATX PC that can act as a portable emubox.
