remember how they made MMOs look on TV shows and cartoons as a kid? Where it was an actual world where you could build houses and open shops and have a full breathing living virtual town where you could do anything? Get married, get a job, have kids, go to town, hang out in a bar, do whatever you could do in real life in the game?
How come this never happened? We had runescape which was kinda close I guess, in that it's the best form of a virtual economy that we'll ever see in a video game, but nothing really scratches that itch. Why was there never a sims-like MMO?
