I'm not good at the game so I dislike it.

It's a good game but the fundamental flaw is that you need to rely on your team mates to win and the vast majority of players inexplicably only want to play the least useful character. You'll often end up with 2 snipers and a torb on offense or no healers and no tanks because everybody wants to play DPS and you get completely shit on by the other team.

The match making rank system, which exists even in quickplay, assures that you can not simply win by yourself by abusing Roadhog forever; eventually you'll end up matched with people highly skilled enough that they can counter any possible lone wolf style you adapt

I'd argue it's anything but casual. You need all 6 people working together to win the game. If 1 or 2 are off doing their own thing, your team will died and, most likely, start streaming in at 2-3 a time only to die over and over again.

When they patched the game to even out exp required for leveling, they really made it difficult for new players to get into competitive.

I bought the game on console after already owning it on pc so that I could play with friends. It took me like a week of grinding to get to 25.

It's really accessable and streamlined, so it's perfect for introducing people to video games. I don't have godlike aim, but even I can still contribute to the team and get PoTG.

I've played TF2, Overwatch, Paladins, and Dirty Bomb. Out of the four, Overwatch is probably the one I had the least fun with. Trying to take it seriously is like trying to take Mario Kart seriously, and that's why everyone who plays it is so pissed off all the time.

If you want an FPS-MOBA hybrid, just play Paladins and get an arguably better experience for free.
If you want a fast-paced FPS that allows skilled players to really set themselves apart with good run-and-gun FPS fundamentals, try Dirty Bomb.
If you want a mediocre clone of TF2's glory days without any of the glory, just play current TF2.

The only advantage that I can objectively give Overwatch over any of these games is that it runs a bit better, because two are unfinished and the third is a bloated decade-old mess. Maybe art style too, if you account for how cosmetics fucked up TF2's aesthetic.

Games pretty much infested with hacks. Hell the 4 active bots on ownedcore all have over 200k NA/EU downloads.

The main problem is the Rank/SR system

If you lose a match, you lose SR.
If you win a match, you gain SR.

This seems good on paper, but in practice it basically means it boils down to luck. Compare it to something like CS:GO's system and the problem becomes obvious

In Overwatch, you can be the best player in the game by far, but if your team is shit you lose anyway, and your rank goes down.

In CS:GO, even if your team is utter shit, if you perform well yourself, your rank will not go down
