Honestly, World pvp was the biggest draw to the game ever. wintergrasp was the best BG in the game honestly. It was an instanced open world BG where about 50+ of EACH faction fought for control and it was the most fun outside of regular pvp while farming.

the light doesn't just burn undead, it can cauterize as well, which is also how they justify forsaken players and death knights getting healed by paladins/priests
it is possible for undead to channel the light as well, it just takes a massive amount of willpower or an extreme amount of self-hatred to power through the crippling pain (and - imagine that - one of the priest specs is called discipline)

right now shadow priests with the right gear can deal mid to high raid damage overall but if you don't have that right gear you will be the bottom of the pack struggling to make dps for raids

in PvP they are still squishy but have a good defensive ability and do massive damage if left along.

Right now Warrior are the cream of the crop for classes. They simply reck everything their path.

Before cata, you had a paper-scissor-rock system. Rogue had easier time taking down someone but attacking warrior was like gamling your life. Ofc it also depends on personal skill: shitty warrior forgets that bleeding rouge can't remain in stealth (dwarf rogue could remove bleed using stoneform).

From cata to legion its "bring player not the class doctrine". For em personally, wod and legion bgs are plain boring. Everything use basically same skills with diffiretnt color, around same numbers of stuns and cc
Melee dps in pvp have like 1 ranged attack, generator, spender, some special skill, 1-2 cc, 1-2 stuns and 1-3 cds. Even in mop i could spend hours and hours playing bg. Now after 2 i want to puke.
