The opening sequence is Stalingrad (it was taken straight from Enemy at the Gates tho), clearing Japense trenches with flamethrower, TAKE OUT THOSE FUCKING PT BOATS, Berlin metro, Assault on Reichstag and it's fantastic musical score, the final push towards the roof of Reichstag with that music:

We can argue whether World at War have the best gameplay of all WWII games (it definitely doesn't), but it's thick atmosphere and audio-visuals are truly the best.
