There are two kinds of feminists. I'm not the guy to whom you're replying, but you can bet that a lot of right-wingers sided with GamerGate simply because people claiming to be feminists sided against it.

Honestly, though, there's really no point in trying to understand any of it, at this point. It was an internet phenomenon driven by mostly anonymous people, with all involved parties claiming to be the good guy. The whole thing was a clusterfuck of false accusations and false flags. GamerGate spent 20% of its time trying to expose the shitty state of game journalism, 30% of its time memeing, and 50% of its time trying to prove that it wasn't harassing people (which was, of course, impossible, because you can't possibly prove that some anonymous internet troll is not a part of your anonymous internet group).

I was excited for it until I learned that the team is filled with Gamergater trash. I'm not playing a racist game, no thank you.
