Whats the ugliest Game HUD?

BoTW's is prettty ugly.
It's minimalist, and not in a good way.

Xenoblade Chronicles X has an atrocious HUD. Way too much shit at once and the text was microscopic to boot. Fun game but fuuuck

All of them. HUDs were a mistake.

HUDs on MMOs always look like shit, all these little icons with generic Magic the gathering-like symbols and stuff.

How do you want them to "fix" it? Each instrument on that HUD is important to gameplay, aside from possibly the Threat Indicator gauge on the left, and it fit in with the idea of everything being projected onto your visor (it works even better if you turned on the option to make the helmet visible).

Controls, level design, enemy variety, art direction, a lot of things.
It's okay if you personally don't dig it though.

Yoshi's Story was different though, most people who like Island don't like Story.
Story is a good game on its own but it's design was weird and make it seem as if it's too short and easy, since story mode only lets you go through 6 stages (out of 24).

The only one I hated more than that was Tribes Ascend's awful screen crack/blood tunnel bullshit when you took damage and I think that's just because I liked the game otherwise.

Do you regularly rub sand in your eyes? BOTW's ui is one of the best things about it. It only gives what you need and it's clean as fuck. Too many games go for overkill with their hud and it usually ends up really gaudy looking.

graphics, thats it. it has solid controls but most of the game is just a snoozefest, it took me hours of constant pausing before i finally bothered to finish that shitty helicopter section and you bet your sweet ass they shoved more fucking gimmick sections in. throwing eggs (which need to be farmed) is not fun, busting huge walls of disintegrating blocks is not fun. the entire game feels like filler up to the slow as fuck "double jump" thing that makes you feel like you are swimming in slime. it is no where close to even the best platformer on the super nintendo (super mario world, umihara kawase, donkey kong country) but it is still a above average mediocre platformer like bubsy and worth trying but ultimately there is no reason to play it today outside gwafix of which it does so flawlessly and great im actually surprised they managed to do it on the super nintendo
