Drakengard ahs a great story, but be warned, its got the worst gameplay in history. Imagine a musou like Dynasty warriors, with no power ups, and just endless hordes of enemies that drag out.

D3 is better, but they're nothing like Nier and Nier:A in terms of gameplay, just know that going in.

Saw the dungeon master mode for Divinity:OS 2. Definitely want to pick it up, because I loved Neverwinter Nights multiplayer.

HGH is probably the least enjoyable of the series but it's alright. GBC might be harder to play because of having to constantly backtrack across massive swaths of land with enemies that take up nearly all of your screen and having a really FOV. RR and PC are pretty great with PC being the best one.

They're all fun games and they're relatively short as well even going for 100%.

Don't listen to the shitposters who are shitting on HGH because they are salty they can't get the backer exclusives because they didn't back the Kickstarter. HGH is great. The music and visuals are on a whole different level and the controls are tight. The way I would rank the series is with RR, PC, and HGH being about even. RR excels the most at being a Metroidvania, PC is the best in terms of platforming, and HGH has the best showing in presentation and controls. The original is also good, but dated and kinda clunky control-wise.

HGH is definitely the weakest one though. Still okay but doesn't measure up to the others. The character animations are pretty top tier tho.

I bought Shantae GBC from a local flea market in 2005 because it had capcom on the cover and I got it for $8. I loved the series because it reminded me of the megaman GB games I grew up with, and I love platformers.
