It was amazing for a Zelda game. Breath of the Wild is basically what Zelda should have been doing for the last three gens. But as much as I love the game, it's not amazing graphically. It's a perfect example of how you can have amazing gameplay without 4k 120 fps graphics.

When it wasn't in a gray haze, the game was stunning. Each biome was amazing and didn't mind being very video "gamey".

Also the only game ive played that did deserts right. Hot as fuck during the day, and cold as tits at night. Also the desert snow area was awesome. Never seen one in a game before.

Walking up onto the desert plateau above Gerudo valley and looking over towards the area that's an even higher plateau out of your reach was a very eerie experience. It just makes me want a sequel to go explore that area.

I agree. Which is kind of the point I was making. The 'bad' graphics in BotW aren't a problem because visual design and gameplay were done so well. It's why a game like Dragon Quest VIII still stands up today while a Final Fantasy game like XV sucks a month after it comes out, despite all its graphical power.

Or hell, how Zelda 1 is still an amazing game to this day.
