I guess I'm blinded with nostalgia and removing every single fucking small clunky thing that players had to learn to hate and love is probably the way. I wont be getting MHW If I have to pay a sub fee on PC or an additional fee past PNS+ on PS4.

Console MHs had monthly fees in Japan since you could only play them online. Portables could play locally or ad-hoc so they didn't need nearly as much online infrastructure.

No one will pay a monthly fee outside of Japan because the west knows the online service is nothing more than a glorified match maker. Everything is still stored locally on your console/PC. Also these games usually have zero anticheat so the PC version is going to hackers all over the place.

If it's an actual, legitimate MMO, then maybe people will swallow it.

The dude that saw the demo said that the player lured the dino in the rathalos nest, it instantly went mad, grabbed and tossed the t-rex dealing around 3 thousand damage, while the hunter GS swings dealt damage for a range between 30 and 50 (not charged). It's probably going to be just as powerfull as 5 or 6 tripled charged swings on the head while the boss is in rage mode, but yeah, the enviromental damage IS huge.
