Randomly generated maps in a strategy game put me off this one
Yeah, but it's really simple. Customization is like mobile-game levels of basic.
The bullet rebound mechanic is a nice way of making an SRPG work in a side-scrolling 2D plane though.
I really liked it and can easily recommend it for anybody that likes turn based games. It is simple and short, but it doesn't overpush its boundaries or drag on for the sake of game length. Low stats means each upgrade and piece of gear you get on somebody can make a bigger difference. No "kill all enemies" objectives also means you're always aiming for playing efficiently to the objective instead of just thinking only about combat.
