I'm just finishing Morrowind, did all the main quests, just making comfy homes now and patching up minor quests and becoming leader of all factions.

Is Gothic II also worth the trouble of installing and modding it, like MOrrowind? I spent at least a week modding Morrowind, and I imagine Gothic II would take as much time to get it to look decent.

Plays like a shitty low budget RTS and blindly sticks to D&D rules at the expense of fun and convenience you'd expect in a video game. I admit that Origins simply has more polish but NWN2 I just played religiously for a while because the atmosphere was interesting. the mainquest sucked but the add-ons were really captivating. plus, some of the modules were fun.

Of all the Pools of Darkness, the Moander one was the hardest. The Bit O Moander were the toughest SOB's in the game, were only vulnerable to Magic Missiles.

Palladin's rocked in this game, but level 40 mages made all the difference at the end. A properly positioned Delayed Blast Fireball was like a nuclear bomb. So satisfying.

If you ignore all their OC in the extended editions, they're pretty much fine.

Their OC is tolerable at best, and at worst encapsulates the absolute lowest forms of fangirl writers trying to emulate their fandom.
Dragonfire Pass was just an abortion through and through, aside from their genuinely impressive efforts to reunite the voice cast. Pity they wasted it by trying to make Safana the star, despite the fact that she's one of two characters who tries to kill you of her own free will in the sequel.

Protip, Beamdog; when you know a character will try selling you and her husband out to psychotic monsters, it's best not to use them as a hero figure.
