The only reason why so many vets are mad is because when we eventually get Worlds, we don't want it to be trash. I own a PS4 and I was initially excited to see a new MH, but the rare sprigs of good news (literally all of them from interviews or third parties rather than actual visual gameplay) are making us antsy. I want to hear that MHW will be amazing, and that all of these attempts at making it look like HZD are actually just innovations that will be fleshed out when the game is fully released. From the way they explained it, they said they made it so you can heal while moving now to make it more fair since there's no more loading screen transitions, meaning you can't just run to a different screen to heal in peace in the middle of a fight and then go back and engage the monster again. They may have just been fancy PR talk though.

It could still be fine as long as the healing isn't instantaneous.

I played Monster Hunter for the first time earlier this year, on a PSP emulator of all things, and I loved it, despite the shitty graphics. In fact it's the only game I've ever emulated.

I will buy this on day one, I wish I had discovered the games earlier. But I only have a PC, so they were never available.

I'm hopeful. Pessimistic but hopeful. I have a release version 3DS so 3u and 4u were both very difficult and ugly to play. I've been hoping for a PC release for awhile. Just the "western audience" thing is huge. From the little we saw in the trailers, the GS animations are exactly the same from previous games right down to the blocking. Apparently it has a new flipping follow-up attack you can do after a downwards swing now too.
