decent and still being updated as far as i know
thumbs up
For free form park creating it's the best there is
For management you'll find other better games, unless you spend a while to mod and change it.
Best park builder game ever made.
I'm just not autistic enough to put in the MASSIVE amount of detail that is available to you.

fun, relaxing but too easy
>>380621436
is there any coaster builder out there that lets me build these things and them ride them (in vr)?
>>380621436
The performance is terrible when the park is on the bigger size
Kinda ruins the game
>>380621436
they did so many things right and at the same time, too many wrong. Placing things if you want to build from the ground up is one of the most autistically things ever, you get no symmetry ever because you can't really enable any grid system at all and most of the time the game punishes you for trying to be creative with coaster building
>>380621530
>updated
yes, with useless shit, instead of stuff the community wants for a long time now
>>380623149
i think there was one on ps2 don't remember the name tho
>>380621436
Is this anything like SimCoaster? That was the first one I ever played and I really enjoyed it but it's impossible to get it to play properly on Win 7.
>>380623149
>>380623460
it was Theme Park Roller Coaster
Wish there was a tutorial...
Am I the only the retarded one who doesn't know wtf to do?
>>380623438
that's totally wrong though, you can apply a world-centered grid or an object-centered grid
and the game isn't punishing you for being creative with coasters, you're just bad at making creative coasters that aren't also deathtraps
Never seen this before in my life.
>>380624173
we're all so proud of you for not knowing about something, thanks for letting us share in this moment with you
>>380623880
show me that grid while building coasters or placing none of the wall-elements you goalpost moving chucklehead
>>380623149
literally the precursor aka Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.
>>380624971
First of all, your typo makes it sound like you just asked me to show you a grid while you AREN'T building walls. Second, I didn't move any fucking goalposts, I directly countered what you said. Third, I'm not going to link you to the advanced building controls wiki page if you're just going to insult me.
>>380621436
Its nice to make a park and look at it but the managment aspect of is lacking a lot. Same shit with cities skylines.
Spooky theme when?
>>380623149
IDK if it supports VR, but No Limits is definitely the most robust coaster builder out there.
>>380625930
people complained about the exact opposite with the last Anno.
>>380626930
The last anno was just bad all around.
>>380621436
Cool for creativity but there's no challenge.
god I wish this game had a good management aspect
for me part of the fun is creating a good looking theme park that's also within budget and is actually practical to operate
might be autism but parks without staff-only sections bug the hell out of me and I would love a 3D game that properly required them
>>380626930
People actually had the same arguments about the last Anno. Nice to look at but the game is an empty and pointless experience.
I played rct for the management and this is severely lacking
>>380627348
>The last anno was just bad all around.
wrong
>>380627508
For anno it's honestly a lot worse
much of that series' fanbase is interested primarily in the management and expected it to be present
while planet coaster was a new IP and was very upfront about it being a creator game first, simulator second
>>380627508
No. People complained how it didn't let you do whatever you wanted, and how you had to maximize your profit to the max to win, so you were left with very few place for creativity. You had to be efficient to the max.
People complained how it was all about the numbers, not about making a nice city.
>>380627963
Hmmmm
>>380628218
who the fuck would complain about that in an anno game?
>>380628326
>all around
look at the reviews, and see how they complain about the lack of freedom and the necessity to be efficient.
>>380628218
It was more then just that. The game lacked content. I had significantly less then anno 2070. No unique fictions less chains, less buildings, less maps, no real multiplayer and the space thing was gimicky.
If Planet coaster doesn't get a 95% off discount on the upcoming steam seal I'm gonna do something crazy, like go outside for a walk or something. I AIN'T PLAYING VALVE
>>380628747
I didn't said it was the only issue. But yes, it was the main issue with the game.
>>380628727
Games like planet coaster and cities go the onther direction. Throwing most managment (game play) out the window for astedics. There is some but its very casual. It shouldent be that hard to make a game like transport fever where you can have challanging managment and it still looks good.
>>380629149
They look good by being able to do what you want. If you are locked with an extreme need of efficiency, it won't work.
>>380628218
>mine helium 3 on moon
>ship it to earth
>somehow net energy gain
2205 is the worst in the series.
>>380629340
a theme park simulator would offer a good degree of freedom even in a management heavy incarnation because scenery serves a practical purpose and visuals overall serve a major purpose in (good) theme parks
>>380629350
nothing wrong with that.
new to this, how can i make paths snap to a grid? there's a grid tool but i don't get how it works-- how can i just have a grid overlay constantly on?
>>380629340
Thats why you have difficulty levels.
>>380626239
A million times this.
>>380629625
>50 parts per billion
>>380630317
and?
>>380631484
150 million tons of lunar regolith has to be processed to recover 1 ton of helium 3 and that 1 ton of helium 3 does not even have the energy it takes to get a tanker to the moon and back.
>>380632574
not an argument.
They use a different energy for Anno 2205.
>>380632790
Yeah, magic.
Fusion is a net energy loss. Always.
