I don't have a 4K TV. The only reason I'd be interested in a Pro is if it had better framerates, loading times, etc.

if you are one of the people the pro/x are "meant" for (own a nice tv, have 0 interest in becoming a pc guy) then the pro makes no sense.
Exclusives on either side are over hyped and you get a 4k bluray player for when you really want to enjoy a movie the right way, as well as a more worthwhile performance boost

I'm more in love with The NW-WM1A (256 GB) however it's expensive as fuck but it's perfect for storing large amounts of music. I use the NW-A17 (about 190 GB) because it's relatively inexpensive (about $150) and has a battery life of up to 50 hours.

4K in general is an upgrade for sure but it isn't as earth shattering as a next gen system would be, I guess that's why these new console iterations are still considered part of 8thgen. I mean FFXV on PS4 runs at 60 fps on the Pro and so does Dark Souls III and PSVR games look a bit clearer with the Pro.
