This. It's got many many many many flaws but there is a reason its the most popular game in the genre. The gameplay is second to none. The art direction is second to none. It's the only game like it and others like the division anthem and others can only try and attempt to copy it.

Division gunplay is absolute ass compared to Destiny though. It feels like hitting stuff with a feather gun until they eventually get tired and have a ragdoll nap. Also much less compelling finding rare and unique weapons when they are all just real life weapons with bigger numbers on their stats.

What lack of content? You have 4 raids every week. You have what 15 strikes? 5 rotating pvp modes every week on top of private matches. Probably 50+ story missions at this point. As of now Destiny has an enormous amount of content.
