question about your game: with that hot-skill-bar, it doesn't look like it'll control like DMC. do you really have to hit the numbers and the other buttons to execute them, or are there more intuitive control-options as well (e.g. like in dungeon fighter online)?

Isn't this one of those "Each class is a specific character" games?

If I'm going to invest time into an MMO, I'd at least like to make my own character.

Oh I never ever use a Keyboard with this game and many other MMOs. It does not have controller so I use Xpadder.

However... the game just got announced for NA and closed beta just ended. Many people are asking for REAL controller support and the dev team is already looking to implement it into the game ONLY for our version.

Going to keep it short; What you're seeing is a MMO player in the MMO mindset. That is... using the cheapest methods to quickly kill a boss. So in short, most Youtube videos you see will never ever show you them getting bodied by the mechanics and will only show you them using the cheap stuff and not getting hit.


For example; this WebM combo works on bosses, but outside of me, you'd never see someone using actual position based combos, because I come from action games (via action game mindset) and they are just MMO players.

The only thing I've ever really wanted from an MMO was some good weighty feeling combat that wasn't just pressing a hotkey to do a flashy thing. I really love Vindictus, but don't like the hub and instanced set up of it.

That's training mode. Yes, this game has a training mode where you can practice set ups and combos on dummies. That dummy is a "lightweight".

There's Lightweight, Middleweight, and Heavy weight enemy type. Middle and Heavy can't be combo'd forever. All instance have all enemy types.

There are Human bosses, and bosses that use the weight type. Humans are in between Light and Middle weight. Bosses also have two state at which they can't be juggles. Super Armor and Burst mode.

I stopped playing MMOs because all of them killed their own ejoyability by making everything piss easy to get people into endgame fast so they feel encouraged to spend money on cosmetics. I'm sure the game is fun but I don't want to play through a boring start to reach the fun part.

The last offender was Dragon Nest when a friend invited me to play and it turned out they removed hard mode from dungeons which meant playing with people was pointless and you could beat every single one of them on your own without even trying, undergeared or completely naked.
