You have to plan out everything as much as you can. It's not "Go in and pray the RNG to save your life" it's more all about "Is the reward worth the risk?". If not you do what you can to limit the damage.

When you play you're mindset can't be "I have to do this flawlessly" because you just can't do that. You will lose heroes, you will lose missions, you will lose gold and gear.

The point of the game is to endure basically

This. The point of the game is that your heroes go insane and get horrible PTSD and disease and shit from going into pitch black dungeons and fighting monsters. It think it's a cool concept really.

DD is a pretty good game. But it's long, stressful, and sometimes infuriating. Yes there is RNG. However, you can greatly sway the odds in your favor - your team comp, trinkets, strats, all matter greatly.

I'm thinking of streaming the DLC when it hits, but haven't played in months and it might be a bad time.
