Yeah. A lot of people complain about short games, but old games were really really short. A lot of the 80-90$ games were 5-6 hours long and mostly due to difficulty and not actual content.

Just because gaming used to be a way, does not mean it was great. You can have Hard but fair games, but a ton of old games were simply a way to ensure they could not beat the game by renting the game and so made them Arcade hard. Arcades were not made to be fun, but they were made to extract as many 25 cents as possible by making the game extra unfair.

Today games are a lot more fair, even for the extremely hard games. Super Meat Boy is a fair game for example.
