Hi /v/, I'm interested in the spiderweb rpgs. which of them would you recommend to a total newcomer? are they even good?

Geneforge games are the most unique and interesting but have aged pretty badly. If you find the older ones too awkward you can start with geneforge 4, the story is pretty separate from the previous games and it has a better UI.

The avernum 1 remake (escape from the pit) is also a good starting point. Avadon games are ok but weaker than geneforge/avernum imo
